President and Managing Director
Anita is president and founder of A.G. Newcomb & Co., a strategic consulting firm to the banking industry founded in 1999 and headquartered in metro DC. Anita was recently appointed to the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond—Baltimore Branch.
Anita speaks often on the future of banking and has appeared on C-SPAN and Washington Business Radio. Anita was formerly president, CEO and board member of ACB Business Partners, the for-profit subsidiary of America’s Community Bankers. She spent ten years in investment banking and strategic consulting with three national firms. Early in her career, Anita was vice president at Security Pacific Corporation, at that time the fourth-largest bank in the country.
She sits on the Advisory Board of the College of Business of Auburn University and is former Chairman. In 2008, she was honored as one of 40 distinguished Auburn College of Business alumni. She is a member of the Women’s Leadership Institute Board of Auburn University and sits on the Executive Committee.
Anita received an M.B.A. in finance with distinction from the University of Houston and a B.S. in accounting with honor from Auburn University, Auburn AL. She is a certified public accountant (inactive).
