BOARDROOM BOUND FOUNDER HONORED BY THE KANSAS CITY COUNCIL OF WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS AS A “WOMAN OF INFLUENCE.”

(Northbrook, IL) -- Boardroom Bound® announces the Kansas City Council of Women Business Owners (KC-CWBO) conferred their “Spiral of Influence Award” to Linda K. Bolliger, Founder, Chief Visionary Officer and Board Chair, Boardroom Bound. The October 26, 2010 event commemorated the Council’s 10th Anniversary celebration at the UMB Bank.

“10 years ago Linda introduced us to Boardroom Bound and why it is in women business owners best interests to learn what she calls, ‘The Business Board Game’© and vie for those positions of power,” says Nancy Zurbuchan, Co-Founder & Director, KC-CWBO. “She taught us to begin investing in each others’ businesses and form our own business boards as precursors to preparing ourselves for external business board service; that was new to us back then” she adds.

The KC-CWBO is a not-for-profit organization founded to specifically meet the needs of women who own large-established business in the metro Kansas City area. The stated purpose of the organization is to capitalize on the members’ experience and knowledge in a brain trust that identifies and solves business-related problems. KC-CWBO advocates for public policy issues that will be of benefit to women business owners. Other KC-CWBO objectives include aiding members in the certification process, increasing the visibility of the membership, and establishing relationships with corporations that seek to do business with women business owners.
